Ballpark of Portland was the site of a competitive game between the Washington Senators and Maine Lobster.
The Maine Lobster locked up a win at Ballpark of Portland, knocking off the Washington Senators, 5-3. On the mound for Maine was right-hander John Liberty. He played a major role in the triumph. Liberty picked up the win for Maine, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Earning his 4th save of the year was Masato Nishihara.
The Lobster got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jacob Testaverde. For the game, Testaverde was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Maine a 4-3 lead.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Testaverde. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
