Win Makes Las Vegas 16-15
Omezo Suyama, who is tied for 10th in the WC with a 1.07 WHIP, was in top form in a tight contest between Las Vegas and Kansas City. The Aces left-hander helped his team beat the Athletics, 2-0. In 5.1 innings, Suyama surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 12 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Cruz Ponce, who finished 2nd in the WC in saves with 31 last year, earned the save for Las Vegas.

The Aces benefited from a costly error in the top of the sixth. With Tan Tsung at bat and Las Vegas leading 1-0, the Kansas City miscue allowed Las Vegas to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"The old adage is true," said Tsung. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

Las Vegas has a record of 16-15.
