Tanton Plays Big Role in Kansas City Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Kansas City Athletics and the Denver Glaciers, Gerald Tanton was the X factor. The Kansas City right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Chase Kessler picked up the save for Kansas City, his 7th of the year. Despite the loss, Denver still owns an impressive 20-10 record.
Tanton ran roughshod over the Denver lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. With the victory, he goes to 4-3 on the season.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Kansas City manager Joe Monagle.
