Stars Beat Friars, 5-2
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Lucas Pamatz impressed in the 5-2 Los Angeles win over San Francisco. Pamatz, who finished 4th in the WC in runs with 117 in 2081, went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chase Kessler saved it for Los Angeles.
The Stars got a big hit from designated hitter Ricky Zika. Facing San Francisco pitcher George Roscoe in the bottom of the sixth, Zika pounded a 2-run home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season put the Stars ahead, 5-2.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Zika. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
San Francisco is 16-15 after the defeat.
