The Montreal Harfangs defeated the Houston Aquas, 7-5, at Mount Royal Park. Leading the charge for Montreal was center fielder Bryan McKillip. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Irakly Alvarez sewed up the save, his 2nd. Things have gone south in a hurry for the defending champion Harfangs, who notched only their 8th win in 30 games.
Left Fielder Jose Diaz made an impact for Montreal, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Ricky Zika in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Diaz was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Diaz told the Montreal Today.
