Havana Tacks 6-5 Loss on Baltimore
|
Dustin Siepker led Havana to a win over Baltimore. The final score was 6-5. Siepker, who is tied for 10th in the EC in hits with 33, collected 3 runs batted in, while going 3 for 4 at the plate. The third baseman also scored 2 times. Avery Slade was credited with the save for Havana, his 7th of the season. Baltimore, with the loss, is still a robust 21-8.
Siepker contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Havana in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Siepker took a sinker from Victor Franco and stroked the double to left. His 9th double of the season allowed the Metropolitanos to leap in front, 3-1.
"That's what this team is about," said Siepker, "picking each other up."
