Spectres Stop Juggernauts, 5-3
|
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Sony Field at Philadelphia.
No one was more impactful than Eddie Kelly in the 5-3 Philadelphia win over Toronto. Kelly, who finished 4th in the EC in doubles with 49 in 2076, went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The loss drops Toronto to 14-14.
Philadelphia took a 3-0 lead on Kelly's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Luis Basurto in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Philadelphia to the win.
Kelly told a Philadelphia Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
