Despite a great performance by Phoenix left fielder Cody McLaughlin, the Tucson Toros defeated the Thunderbirds by the score of 10-5 at Aetna Stadium. McLaughlin was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times. Giichiro Mishima claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2 innings.
