Spectres Earn 5-4 Win Against Juggernauts
|
The Philadelphia Spectres stopped the Toronto Juggernauts, 5-4, in 10 innings at Sony Field at Philadelphia. The Spectres got a big game from Mike McKasson, who went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Philadelphia reliever Ethan Davis picked up the win, while Ignacio Noriega took the loss for Toronto. Philadelphia has a mark of 14-13 after the win.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, McKasson hit a fastball from Ignacio Noriega for a run-scoring double. The Spectres, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Ryan Huff, the Philadelphia skipper. "This one tested us."
