Denver Offense Jammed Up by Destroyers
|
San Diego Destroyers starter Allan Tinter was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Denver Glaciers, 4-1. Tinter, now 3-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Denver is 8-21 after the loss.
The Destroyers got a big at-bat from center fielder Michael Keding. For the game, Keding went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave San Diego a 2-0 lead.
"Allan pitches with such conviction and you see it in his body language, you see it in his attack plan," said San Diego manager Steve Alstadt.
