Yandri Vido, who leads the WC in quality starts with 5, was terrific for the Portland Dragons in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Denver Glaciers. His performance earned Vido rave reviews. The loss lowers the Denver record to 19-9.
The Dragons got a big at-bat from right fielder Yahya Kanoro. For the game, Kanoro was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Portland a 3-1 lead.
"Yandri just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
