4-2 Win Gets Seattle to 15-13
|
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Jose Fierro, the Alaska Kodiaks lost to the Seattle Arrows, 4-2. Fierro went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. The Kodiaks fall to 12-16 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Seattle second baseman Matthew Allen contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Arrows ahead, 4-1.
Allen called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
