San Diego Tacks 7-4 Loss on Denver
Spirited fans greeted the Denver Glaciers for their clash with the San Diego Destroyers.

The San Diego Destroyers beat the Denver Glaciers, 7-4, at Mountain Dew Park. San Diego shortstop Aaron Trani collected 1 single and 1 double with 1 run batted in. Brent Lannin claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 3-0. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Rikio Kaneko.

San Diego used the clutch hitting of Ramiro Rexach to snag the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Destroyers ahead, 7-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Trani.

The Glaciers, at 8-20, have stumbled out of the gate.
