Senators Dealt 6-2 Home Loss
|
St. Louis Gaedels starter Luis Espiricueta pitched his team past the Washington Senators, 6-2. With the win, St. Louis lifts its record to 8-20.
St. Louis used the timely hitting of Tai sun Chow to capture the win. The right fielder socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Gaedels ahead, 6-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"It was our day today," Chow told the St. Louis Today. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
