Jacob Testaverde impressed in the 7-4 Maine win over Havana. Testaverde, who finished 4th in the EC in wins above replacement with 7.1 in 2080, was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Masato Nishihara picked up the save for Maine, his 4th of the year. Now 10-17, the Metropolitanos have not played well this season.
Early in the game, Testaverde had a 3-run home run for Maine. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Lobster on top, 3-0.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Testaverde told the Maine Times.
