Arrows Lose to Destroyers, 4-1
|
Keaton Bozek pitched a gem to lead San Diego to victory over the Seattle Arrows, 4-1. Justin Lea got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The Destroyers, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Chris Brankin, who finished 3rd in the WC in on-base percentage with .395 in 2080, chipped in a 2-run home run for San Diego in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I thought Keaton threw the ball well across the board," said San Diego manager Steve Alstadt.
