Vikings Topple Dragons with Late Rally
In a low-scoring affair between the Minneapolis Vikings and the Portland Dragons, pitcher Kwang-sik Nho was the difference between victory and defeat. The Minneapolis right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Vikings win. Lesley Deakin picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Alberto Rosario suffered the loss. Zee-loo Kim, who finished 2nd in the WC in saves with 31 in 2081, nailed down the save.

Had Leonilde Tigre not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Tigre hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Vikings.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Tigre.

The loss puts Portland at 11-15.
