Aces Beat Visiting Aquas, 3-1
|
Starting pitcher Relly Crousse had a solid game. He was a big reason the Las Vegas Aces throttled the Houston Aquas, 3-1. With the win, Las Vegas elevates its record to 13-14.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Aces had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when center fielder Venceslau Pontes hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Ron Gelsomino and made the score 2-1, Aces. Pontes was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Crousse.
