Kodiaks Get Close Win Over Glaciers, 4-3
Alaska beat Denver at Tundradome, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Tillmam Velado. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Alaska reliever Juneau Beauchamp picked up the win, while Phil Payne took the loss for Denver. The Kodiaks, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.

Gabe Castro was the walk-off hero for Alaska. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kodiaks third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Velado described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
