Alex Zapien could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Seattle Arrows lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Alaska Kodiaks at Power Ballpark. Javy Granillo snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-0 on the season. Alex Zapien suffered the loss. Juneau Beauchamp collected save number 2.

Alaska used the timely hitting of Eliecer Arruebarrena to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Kodiaks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Arruebarrena told a Alaska Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The loss puts Seattle at 9-17.
