The Minneapolis Vikings beat the Portland Dragons, 6-2, at Minneapolis Grounds. Minneapolis second baseman Sam Cone led the way. He was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Zee-loo Kim picked up the save for Minneapolis, his 6th of the year. The loss drops the Dragons to 11-14.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Minneapolis Grounds seemed to enjoy watching the Western Conference action.
