Maine Lobster starter Ted Ayres worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Havana Metropolitanos, 13-0. With the loss, Havana drops to 10-15.

Maine third baseman Carlos Sosa contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Lobster ahead, 3-0.

"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Kevin Mayerhofer.
