Houston Defeats Las Vegas, 8-1
|
The Houston Aquas defeated the Las Vegas Aces, 8-1, at Western Coliseum. Marco Feron, who is tied for 6th in the WC in hits with 30, was a standout performer for Houston. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. The Aces fall to 11-14 and continue their lackluster start to the 2086 season.
With two out in the top of the seventh, Ileanna Alfaro had a game-changing hit. The Aquas left fielder slammed a 2-run single off Yolber Ajete, making the score 4-1, Houston.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Feron.
