Thunderbirds Suffer 8-2 Home Defeat
The Los Angeles Stars topped the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 8-2, in Western Conference action at Legednary Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Kingsley Bozek. With the loss, Phoenix falls to 12-12.

Dave Yerges had a big 2-run home run for the Stars in the top of the first inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a forkball from Les Ralph, who finished 4th in the EC in innings pitched with 208.0 in 2080, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 3-0.

"Kingsley was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
