Metropolitanos Fall to .500 After 5-1 Loss to Kings
|
Baltimore turned a good performance from starting pitcher Kunimatsu Myaji into a 5-1 triumph over the Havana Metropolitanos at AT&T Park. Myaji yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. Baltimore is now 17-6.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Koji Chinea was at the plate when Baltimore scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Kings to go in front, 1-0.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Myaji.
