Wolves Handed 6-1 Loss by San Francisco
|
Vancouver had no answer for 30-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Maxwell. The San Francisco Friars starter stymied Wolves hitters, helping the Friars cruise to victory, 6-1. San Francisco is now 11-12.
Noah Taylor had a big 2-run double for the Friars in the bottom of the first inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from former first round draft pick Raul Tanis and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Friars ahead, 3-0.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Taylor told the San Francisco Herald.
