Arrows Beat Athletics, 8-3, at Power Ballpark
|
Seattle picked up a win at Power Ballpark, bumping off the Kansas City Athletics, 8-3. Pitcher Felipe Diaz was a major reason the Arrows emerged victorious. Diaz, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The Arrows are off to a tough start, getting just their 8th win in 23 games.
Ryan Jarnagin, who is a two-time All-Star, helped out the Seattle cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"I felt great. Had good rhythm with my mechanics," said Diaz.
