Spectres Go Down to Defeat, 7-5
Behind the hitting of Cole Hickey, the Buffalo Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Spectres, 7-5. Hickey went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Rangers. Heriberto Flores earned the win, while 25-year old right-handed pitcher Bruce Roque took the loss for Philadelphia. The win gives Buffalo a record of 12-9.

There was more than one reason the Rangers beat the Spectres, but Hickey's big at-bat in the top of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Hickey told the Buffalo Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
