Senators Need Extra Innings to Top Gaedels, 7-6
The Washington Senators downed the St. Louis Gaedels, 7-6, in 10 innings. David Elizalde led the way, going 2-for-4 for Washington. Washington reliever Dominic Hogg was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Frank Hubert took the loss. Julio Mendoza, who finished 3rd in the EC in saves with 33 last year, nailed down the save.

Elizalde had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Frank Hubert, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Senators a 7-6 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Elizalde.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Washington manager Josh Cooan.

The overall performance of the 2084 Gaedels has been rotten so far.
