Boston right fielder Matt Steinruck was instrumental in helping the Greens triumph, 8-5, over the Santiago Avispas. Steinruck went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winner in relief was Norihiro Hamamoto. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Adam Mimnaugh earned the save for Boston, his 3rd.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Greens grabbed the lead when Steinruck hit his 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Rico Sustaita made it 6-5, Boston.
