Cyclones Turn Back Harfangs, 4-2
|
Miami Cyclones starter Jeremy Fitch turned in a top-notch performance against the Montreal Harfangs at Kroger Stadium. The result was a win for the Cyclones, 4-2. Fitch yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-1. The win has Miami at 12-10.
Storm Kennedy dealt the Harfangs a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Miami leading 2-1, Kennedy hit a 0-1 forkball for a 2-run single.
"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Fitch.
