Thanks in large part to right fielder Sem Vreke, the Brooklyn Browns beat the Montreal Harfangs, 4-1. Vreke went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2. The win lifts Brooklyn to a record of 11-10.

One pivotal at-bat came with two out in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Montreal trailing 4-1, Olympio Odescalchi needed to bear down against Du Kau. Odescalchi won the battle, as Kau flied out and the Browns went on to win.
