Both teams had their chances, but the Miami Cyclones eventually prevailed.
The inspired effort of Brooklyn first baseman Raymilson Bayam was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the Miami Cyclones. Bayam was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Nestor Fajardo in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jorge Gamez took the loss.
Miami took a 4-2 lead on Yuki Soma's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Soma hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Brooklyn pitcher Kyle Burch visibly frustrated.
Miami manager Chris Stephan commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
