Ricky Zika, who led the WC in wins with 18 in 2073, pitched well, but the Houston Aquas still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Vancouver Wolves at Tesoro Stadium. The win has Vancouver at 9-12.

Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Paul Rees to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wolves on top, 3-1. For the game, Rees had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Wolves manager Zach Meinen.
