Kansas City Tops Minneapolis, 6-2
Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Jose Buezo, who finished 3rd in the EC in OPS with .958 in 2078, the Kansas City Athletics defeated the Minneapolis Vikings, 6-2. Mike Flores, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Despite the win, Kansas City, now 5-15, is off to a terrible start.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Harold Pond? The 24-year old left fielder Pond stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Kansas City up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Pond.
