Metropolitanos Clip Lobster, 3-2
|
Starting pitcher Joyee Cameron gave the Havana Metropolitanos a rock-solid effort. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native helped his team defeat the Maine Lobster, 3-2, at Estadio Latinoamericano. Havana has a record of 11-10.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Havana pinch hitter Joram Hegger, facing Abel Downey, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Metropolitanos the 3-2 win.
"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Matthew McExpos.
