Kouri Slugs Stars to 7-2 Win
The Los Angeles Stars defeated the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 7-2, at Stars Ballpark. Los Angeles shortstop Chris Kouri had a superb performance. He was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Thunderbirds fall to 6-14 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2084 season.

With Los Angeles leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Kouri hit a fastball from Ernesto Alvarez for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 4-1.

"I thought we played a nice game," Kouri told the Los Angeles Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
