The Minneapolis Vikings trumped the Portland Dragons, 12-5, at Portland Park. Minneapolis first baseman Leonilde Tigre was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Josh Hawes was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Minneapolis, now 13-7, has played well in the early going.

Early in the game, Tigre had a 2-run home run for Minneapolis. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Vikings on top, 4-2.
