3-2 Win Gets Baltimore to 14-5
|
The Baltimore Kings earned a close win over the Washington Senators, thanks in part to Victor Franco. The Baltimore right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Franco yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-0. Danny Segura earned the save for Baltimore.
Harold Wicks, who led the EC in runs with 134 in 2084, came through for Baltimore with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. The first baseman went 2 for 2 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI.
"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Kings manager Andrew Schweizer.
Baltimore sits at 14-5.
