The Minneapolis Vikings trumped the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 5-2, at Legednary Park. Minneapolis first baseman Gilberto Cerda was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Zee-loo Kim earned the save for Minneapolis, his 6th. Now 15-5, the 2085 Vikings have been phenomenal so far.

Javy Trinidad came through with a big-time hit for Minneapolis. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Cerda called the win "a collective effort."
