4-1 Win Sends Toronto to 12-7
|
The Toronto Juggernauts scooped up a win at Sony Field at Philadelphia, dumping the Philadelphia Spectres, 4-1. Daniel Taylor, who finished 3rd in the EC in ERA with 2.78 last year, was essential to his team's success. Ignacio Noriega notched his 6th save of the season. Philadelphia falls to 10-9.
Toronto used the hitting of Mark Buchanan to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Juggernauts on top, 2-0. For the game, Buchanan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was our day today," Buchanan told the Toronto Observer. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
