Havana left-hander Bobby Alkire pitched his team to victory over the Maine Lobster at Ballpark of Portland. The final score was 8-5. Maine falls to 8-11.

Havana relied on the bat of Mike Santoli to get the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Metropolitanos ahead, 2-0. For the game, Santoli had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Santoli told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
