Titans Get One-Run Win at Buffalo
|
New York Titans starter Keiyo Nagao pitched a strong game against the Buffalo Rangers at Bison Stadium, leading the Titans to victory, 4-3. Nagao yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. Stephen Keane was credited with the save for New York, his 1st of the season.
New York used a well-timed hit by Danny Mrazek to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Titans ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Mrazek called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
Buffalo drops to 9-9.
