Kodiaks Beat Visiting Arrows, 7-6
|
The Alaska Kodiaks turned back the Seattle Arrows, 7-6, at Tundradome. Felix Perez, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Alaska reliever Javy Granillo picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Garrett Gutierrez absorbed the loss. The Arrows, now 6-12, continue their slow start.
With Alaska trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Perez hit a fastball from Garrett Gutierrez for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Kodiaks ahead, 7-6.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Perez.
