The Denver Glaciers defeated the Seattle Arrows, 8-7, at Power Ballpark. Denver was led by 30-year old right fielder Marcos Galarraga, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The loss puts Seattle at 12-7.
Denver used a timely hit from Alexjandria Leija to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Galarraga after the game.
