Dragons Nudge Past Ravens, 6-5
Despite a great performance by Yellowknife designated hitter Felix Perez, the Portland Dragons defeated the Ravens by the score of 6-5 at Portland Park. Perez went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Charlie Petipas in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jeff Amendola took the loss. Portland, now 11-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The decisive blow was delivered by Charlie Cole in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Alan Batten to win the game for Portland. The home crowd went nuts.

"This wasn't a good win," said Cole. "It was a great win."
