Lingo Helps Arrows Defeat Cyclones, 8-2
|
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 23-year old third baseman Jason Lingo, the Seattle Arrows stopped the Miami Cyclones, 8-2. Jimmy Cain was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. The win has Seattle at 1-2.
In the top of the fifth inning, the Arrows grabbed the lead when Ryan Jarnagin rapped a two-out single. Seattle was trailing 1-0, when Jarnagin hit a 2-run single off Gary Banks to put his team in front, 2-1.
Lingo called the win "a team effort."
