Hickey Helps Rangers Beat Senators, 6-3
|
A 3-RBI performance from Cole Hickey, who led the EC in extra base hits with 73 in 2083, helped the Buffalo Rangers beat the Washington Senators, 6-3. Josh Trejo closed the door for Buffalo, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The Senators fall to 6-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2085 season.
Hickey had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 slider from Oscar Bara, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Rangers a 4-3 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Hickey.
Hickey called the win "a team effort."
