Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Houston Aquas and the Chicago Phantoms. Houston won it, 3-1. Houston starter Yadisniel Saez was in command. The Phantoms, now 5-12, continue their sluggish start.

Houston third baseman Craig Lightsey contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 20th hit of the season and put the Aquas ahead, 2-0.

"All in all, I thought Yadisniel pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian.
