Spectres Win with Late Heroics
The Philadelphia Spectres defeated the Buffalo Rangers, 10-9, in 14 innings. Much of the credit belonged to second baseman Eddie Kelly, who was 2-3 with 2 singles, 3 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Spectres. The win went to Uno Urquidez in relief, making him now 2-2. Ricardo Alas took the loss for Buffalo. Buffalo, with the loss, is still a hardy 12-5.

The Spectres got a clutch hit from left fielder Mike McKasson. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Spectres.

"Baseball's a game where I feel like almost everything that happens is strange," said Kelly. "Maybe that's why it's such a great game."
