Greens Improve to 11-5 with 6-4 Win
|
The Boston Greens downed the San Francisco Friars, 6-4, at Staples Field. Brian Snavley led the way, going 2-for-3 for Boston. Shaun Chugh got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Friars to 2 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The Greens, now 11-5, have been red hot.
Ray Boos had a big solo home run for the Greens in the top of the fourth inning. With Boston leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Salvatore Pino and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Greens on top, 4-2.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Boos.
