The Santiago Avispas picked up a win at Kroger Stadium, taking down the Miami Cyclones, 4-1. Starting pitcher Beau Eschmann was a big reason why. Eschmann got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. At 12-4, the 2084 Avispas have been excellent so far.

Santiago used a well-timed hit by Yem Batista to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Avispas ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Beau did a tremendous job," said Santiago manager Jacob Pauly.
