Cyclones Need Extra Innings to Top Greens, 10-8
|
The Miami Cyclones outlasted the Boston Greens, 10-8, in 12 innings. Miami center fielder Lan-quing Rao stood out with his performance. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The winner was Willie Santiago in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Martin Zambello took the loss. The Greens drop to 7-9, as their stumbling start to the 2085 season continues.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Rao delivered big-time for Miami, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Martin Zambello. The game-changing hit put the Cyclones on top, 7-6.
"Exciting game to play in," said Rao. "Getting the win makes it even better."
