Short Delivers Walk-Off Win for Greens
|
The Boston Greens finished things off in style.
The Boston Greens topped the Montreal Harfangs, 5-3, in Eastern Conference action at Arrington Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston pitcher Chris Johnston. The win takes Boston to 7-9.
Boston got a knockout punch from Trevor Short. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Short expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
