Browns Rally to Nose Past Santiago
|
The Santiago Avispas and Brooklyn Browns provided some drama for the home crowd.
No one was more impactful than Jimmy Keener in the 4-3 Brooklyn win over Santiago. Keener, who finished 3rd in the EC in doubles with 53 in 2081, was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Santiago now has a record of 13-4.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Brooklyn trailing 3-1, Keener hit a fastball from Divino Aljeroz for a bases-clearing double. In the blink of an eye, the Browns had a walk-off win.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Keener.
