Vancouver Upended, 5-2, by Las Vegas
Danny Nieto did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Vancouver Wolves from being beaten, 5-2, to the Las Vegas Aces at Western Coliseum. Nieto was 3-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Tae-sang Shinn snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2 innings. He's now 1-2 on the season. Cruz Ponce recorded the save, his 3rd.

Las Vegas third baseman Ed Cromsie helped the Aces go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Cromsie hit a run-scoring single off Vancouver pitcher Dominic Hogg.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Cromsie.

With the win, Las Vegas improves its record to 8-9.
